Founded in 1910, our bowls club is situated on The Leys conservation area, recreation ground in the centre of Witney.  The club is proud to hold the status of a community amateur sports club that welcomes anyone to be a member and has a six-rink, outdoor bowling green, as well as three short mats for indoor winter bowls.
Our new pavilion was opened in August 2014 and replaces an aging club house built on railway sleepers in early 1980’s. The new pavilion represents a £250,000 plus investment built with contributions obtained through various grants and loans, as well as donations from our membership. A new, fully equipped kitchen and bar offer excellent catering to support a year round programme of social events and bowling activities.
A full programme of inter club friendly outdoor and indoor fixtures is organised throughout the year to enable players of all levels to compete and the club also organises both national and international bowls tours that all members are encouraged to participate in. The club friendly and regional competitive matches encompass visiting the counties of Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Wiltshire.
A strong and well organised committee structure ensures the club runs smoothly through skilled and experienced officers, committee members and volunteers all presided over by our current President Alan Scholan.
