With around 140 members, the club is dynamic and very busy!
Founded in 1910, the club is situated on The Leys Conservation Area in the centre of Witney and has six county approved and well maintained outdoor bowling rinks as well as three short mats for indoor winter bowls.
Our new pavilion was opened in August 2014 and represents a £250,000 plus investment by the current membership in the long-term future of the Club. The main hall gives the Club an excellent short mat facility. The club’s fully equipped kitchen and bar can also be hired out to the local community for functions such as children’s parties, family celebrations and get-togethers.
It is open and in use throughout the year to support a full and varied programme of social events and bowling activities. This includes friendly outdoor and indoor fixtures, club competitions and roll-ups to enable players of all levels to enjoy the game. The club also organises both national and international bowls tours that all members are welcome to participate in.
We are always seeking new members to boost our 100 plus membership and offer coaching and competitions for men and women of all age groups and abilities. The 12-month adult membership fee of £70 represents excellent value for money.
